The author of Nantucket Seasons: A Collection of Island Photographs has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds to self-publish the 200-page collection of color prints from around the island.
Nantucket, MA -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/26/2015 -- Snezhana Oberg is the author of Nantucket Seasons: A Collection of Island Photographs, a book with over 200 stunning photographs from around Nantucket in all four seasons. Oberg hopes to self-publish this large-format, hardcover coffee table book with help from funds raised in a Kickstarter campaign. The author has chosen self-publishing in order to maintain creative control over the contents of the book and the publication process and is raising funds to enable her to print copies for distribution throughout the United States.
The book focuses on the island's beauty during all four seasons. "This book will work well on any coffee table to entertain guests and to show the many 'faces' of Nantucket," says the author. "It serves as a beautiful artifact of the island, in contrast to the usual tourist souvenirs."
According to the author, the creation of this book has been a work of love for her. "Working on the book has been a long journey, but it was a wonderful experience for me. It made me love the island even more. I hope everyone who holds Nantucket Seasons feels the same way. I also hope that this book inspires more people to visit the island off-season. My motivation was to create a beautiful book, full of rich photographs. I think the photographs complement each other very well and the arrangement has a beautiful flow."
