Makati City, Metro Manila -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/25/2010 -- The Overseas Nurses Programme (ONP) gives overseas Nurses the opportunity to become Licensed Nurses in the UK.
International Student Advisors Philippines (ISA 4U Ltd)- In conjunction with the BSc International Nursing Degree, nursing students will be able to apply for the ONP, subject to meeting the following programme requirements: minimum IELTS score of 7.0 in every band, Students must be a licensed Nurse in the Philippines and with minimum 1 year’s practical nursing experience in the Philippines (in a hospital of minimum 100 bed capacity). The duration of the program is three to six months.

Once Work Permit holders have been in the UK for a minimum of 5 years (study & post-study time spent in the UK does not count towards this), they can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK (again, this is not automatic).
