Seoul, Victoria Realizing Stronger Diplomatic Ties After President’s Visit

Creole Festival 2010 concluded

 

Kampala, Uganda -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/04/2010 -- The cooperation between Seoul and Victoria in the Seychelles has been getting stronger since the visit to Seoul by the Seychelles President James Michel.

This has been seen in the witnessed at the Korean Fashion Show, jointly organized by the Seychelles Honorary Consul, Mr. Dong Chang Jeong and the Seychelles Tourism Board representative in Seoul, Ms Julie Kim.

The event attracted several Korean nationals a show sign of the positively growing relations between the countries.

Mrs. Myrna Michel, who now coordinates the marketing and sales efforts by the Korea Office of the Seychelles Tourism Board, was so optimistic at the just concluded Creole Festival 2010.

Mr. Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board appreciated Jeong and Kim the special event a clear testimony of the new cooperation.

"We are but a small country, and it is only by joining forces that we shall maximize our resources and have a better synergy for the benefit of our country," Alain St.Ange said.

A jovial-looking St.Ange also thanked the companies that facilitated the Korean evening saying that this is a spring board to the Seoul-Victoria growing market

“Tonight we have made another step in our drive for a cultural tourism campaign. Seeing Seychellois girls traditionally dressed in Korean fashion wear decorated with special Korean makeup was a clear example of accommodative cultures of both countries which needs to be promoted.” said St.Ange

The Seychelles delegation at the Evening included Ministers Bernard Shamlaye and Peter Sinon for Culture and Minister for Investments respectively plus principle secretaries and director generals. The Seychelles Culture Minister applauded the organizers saying that show was a display of the beauty of Seychelles and did his country proud.
