China Wholesale Giant Warns Resellers About Dangers of Alibaba Merge

Shenzhen, GD -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/30/2010 -- China wholesale source Chinavasion have just heard that Alibaba has worrying plans for Vendio and Auctiva which it bought this year.

Alibaba stated, “The connection of these two platforms with our marketplaces will help integrate the e-commerce value chain between B2B and B2C, fully realizing the B2B2C model. Business integration is underway as we are now working on further matching criteria like product categories in demand, quality and scale of suppliers, etc. between the buyers and our AliExpress suppliers.“

So as we can see; now they plan to integrate them with Aliexpress, but what does this ominous news mean to online resellers?

Chinavasion’s Rose Li urges caution, “Like any transaction from China, you need to be 100% certain who you’re buying from, or you may find that you’re sent poor quality or over-priced merchandise.“

“One of the problems that we find with Alibaba,“ She adds, “Is that it is a place where almost any Chinese supplier can start selling anything with minimal checks. Alibaba encourages as many suppliers as possible sell on its site as it will earn money from their transactions.“

If you source through Alibaba, be careful to check who the vendor is, because once you’ve parted with the cash you have to wait a long time before you even know if the items are correct!

It’s easy to find horror stories of so-called ‘gold rated’ Alibaba vendors ripping people off. Even on Alibaba’s own forum you’ll find angry customers who’d been cheated by vendors that they were led to believe were safe.

China wholesale source Chinavasion urge caution as sourcing from China through Alibaba sounds great in principle, but when you check you’ll see that it’s confusing and dangerous. Your supplier could be someone selling factory rejects from his garage!

According to Rose Li, “Since online resellers using Alibaba can’t have or build up any kind of relationship with Chinese suppliers, they are far from guaranteed good deals or quality.“

The answer? Be careful to deal with reputable online China wholesale sources like Chinavasion.
