AFP Launches New Range of HEPA Air Purifiers for Home Use

Bradenton Beach, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/15/2011 -- Air filters and purifiers is pleased to launch the latest range of HEPA air purification systems. Dubbed as the “bedroom machine” it is one of the most efficient air purification systems available nowadays. The technology behind this machine is a combination of HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arresting) and HEGA (High Efficiency Gas Absorption) technologies. The company claims to remove upto 99.97% of all particles larger than 0.3 microns and total safety from in-house chemical pollution.

In-house air pollution is a greatly ignored fact and the fast approaching allergy season only makes matters worse. Dust, pollens, pet dander and chemical vapors are a deadly cocktail for anyone with allergies. One of the most common sources of in-house pollution is formaldehyde. Formaldehyde is a potential carcinogenic and studies have shown that when inhaled even in moderate amounts can cause DNA damage. While formaldehyde may not be the only pollutant, there are a few more air borne contaminants that may pose a bigger health risk. Researchers from the USC Keck School of Medicine, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and the UC Davis MIND Institute recently published findings from their research linking autism to carbon monoxide air pollution. The report found that families living within 1,000 feet of a freeway are two times as likely to have babies that are autistic.

In the past year there has been a marked increase in asthma cases. According to the American asthma foundation there has been a 5 fold increase in asthma cases than the previous year. Doctors believe that the best way to cure and prevent asthma is to use an air purifier at home or at workplace. Keeping this in mind airfiltersandpurifiers a Florida based company has launched Austin air HEPA air purifier systems. These systems help removing air borne contaminants and noxious gases from the air. This system has been tested and certified by the national sleep foundation.

According to Thomas Balkin, Ph.D., Chairman of the National Sleep Foundation's Board of Directors. "The potential health benefits of improving bedroom air quality, particularly when people are reclining in bed, are often overlooked. Right now, the National Sleep Foundation certified Bedroom Machine by is being used in several studies to advance the science of sleep and air quality." It has been selected for use in a new Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health study on asthma and bedroom air quality and a number of University of Buffalo studies on environment and asthma. This system has been built to meet the requirements set out by the John Hopkins University Medical School of Public Health to promote clean air for healthy sleep.
