Restoration Yoga Teacher Training in Smithfield

Smithfield, NC -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/24/2014 -- The Yoga Connection in Smithfield is pleased to announce their Restoration Yoga Teacher Training class. It will be held Friday through Sunday the weekend of July 25 to 27, 2014 at their studio on 101-3A East Market Street.

The class will introduce the benefits of Restoration Yoga. After taking this workshop, participants will be able to combine movement and breath with restorative poses into their yoga classes or practice. This training is open to yoga teachers and students who would like to broaden their understanding of Restorative Yoga in Smithfield.

“Many Restorative Yoga classes require multiple props and equipment that studios and teachers may not have,” says Martha Catz, owner of The Yoga Connection. “The focus of this unique Restoration Yoga class is to create the restorative poses with fewer props. That makes the poses accessible without having to purchase and carry a suitcase of props around.”

When used correctly Restoration Yoga can help a person reduce blood pressure, rebalance the nervous system, reduce symptoms of fatigue, muscle tension, and offer a sense of improved wellbeing. It can also improve range of motion and reduce symptoms of pain from muscles, joints and nerves.
