Satrak Updates Plant Security Website with New Plant Security Systems Case Studies

Vehicle tracking company Satrak have recently updated their Plant Security website with new case studies for their plant security systems.

Scarcroft, Yorkshire -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/20/2014 -- The firm have covered recent clients’ experiences with the industry leading tracking system. Recently, a telehandler stolen from a large, nationwide house building firm in Sheffield was recovered in less than 24 hours, resulting in large savings for the client who did not need to pay out for huge insurance excesses or repairing damage to the vehicle.

Meanwhile in late December the firm had a very busy week with twelve machines stolen in just five days. By the 23rd December eleven of the twelve machines were recovered as well as three other stolen machines found in the process.

The firm attribute this success to the robustness of the Satrak plant security systems. Using a combination of GPS and GSM technology, the plant security systems are able to accurately track a vehicle as well as offering the ability to remotely shut down a stolen machine.

One of the features which allowed the swift recovery of these stolen vehicles is the ability to automatically arm and immobilise the system based on the time of day using an internal clock. As a result, using Satrak plant security systems, vehicles can be immobilised remotely or to a schedule so that no unauthorised use is possible.

A company spokesman said: “We are very pleased with the high success rate of the Satrak plant security system and believe this is a testament to the quality of our specialist hardware.”
