Chicago, IL -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/20/2015 -- A Shoe In Fashion, a web portal for trendy fashion information, will feature Scott Tucker's "History of Fashion" series beginning this November. Tucker, who opened his interior decorating and fabric store last October, will release one video each week for three months detailing the history of fashion.

"There is not enough education on this issue," says Frank Honey, editor of A Shoe In Fashion. "When people dress themselves and follow trends they are usually not considering what trend events led up to the clothes they are wearing or wanting. Tucker's educational series is something we are happy to feature to try to teach the masses why the fashion world is where it is today."

Tucker has been researching the fashion industry for more than 10 years, through formal and informal education in Chicago, New York, and Paris. The weekly videos in his upcoming series will cover one decade a week, the first episode beginning with the 1920's.

"Enough cannot be said about studying the history of fashion," says Tucker. "It would be beneficial to anybody looking to improve their own style and fashion knowledge to watch my series. There are too many people in the world who have no idea why new trends happen, or why some other trends are repeated."

Independent clothing and interior design stores in Tucker's hometown of Chicago, IL have contributed to Tucker's videos with supplementary clips and bonus footage of vintage styles still in circulation. Each store featured in addition to Tucker's own store will be listed in a bonus episode on A Shoe In Fashion's website. The series will be 12 episode's long, concluding in January.

"This free series is really going to be fascinating," says Honey. "Rather than watch another scripted reality show about fashion designers being used as puppets, we think this show will really be fulfilling to our readership."

The fashion history series will be available to all subscribers of the A Shoe In Fashion website. Episodes will be begin airing November 1.
