For Janet Contero and Cindy Knowles, a fruit salad is not only a dish that consists of various kinds of fruit that can be served as an appetizer or as a dessert but a reminder of becoming Janet becoming an aunt. Going 2500 miles across country from California to Virginia to see her sister and while there her mom made them a delicious fruit salad. But to Janet, even more delicious was the time spent talking and sharing. Now whenever she sees a fruit salad all she remembers is the moments they shared. Wanting others to be able to come together and share the same types of food memories, Janet began work on the web idea of Fruit Salad.

About Fruit Salad
There are many types of fruit salad. Ambrosia adds a bit of either whipped cream, whipped toppings our cream, or cream cheese, pudding, yogurt, or even cottage cheese. Waldorf Salad has mayonnaise, apples, raisins and walnuts. Some consist of plain fruit while still others add Herbs, Citrus, Mint-Maple, or Basic Syrup. The possibility of ingredients and combinations is endless.
