TraceGains Introduces Improved Website and Insights Blog with Latest Trends for Food Manufacturers

Westminster, CO -- (ReleaseWire) -- 04/07/2014 -- TraceGains, a full-service supplier, compliance, and regulatory document management solution, launched a refreshed and re-energized TraceGains website with enhanced content and features. One of those features is a brand-new TraceGains Insights Blog. The TraceGains Insights Blog features industry news and updates, expert commentary and interviews, and hot topic articles such as labeling, allergen control, FSMA, and GFSI.

Additionally, the Insights Blog contains new industry-relevant audit checklists, ebooks, whitepapers, and more.

TraceGains’ Marketing Specialist, Jenn Brusco commented, “We are thrilled to offer industry insights and helpful information about the latest trends and issues that affect food manufacturers. Our goal with this blog is to become a trusted and reliable resource for the industry.”

Pre-audit, Day of Inspection, and post-audit checklists can be found on the new TraceGains Insights Blog. The checklists include information about rights regarding to requests for records. Required records must be handed over to the FDA upon request. Businesses must provide copies of product labeling if the FDA requests. Most of the records such as manufacturing records or inventory are only required when the FDA identifies a reasonable risk to consumer safety, specifically, the FDA has a reasonable basis to believe that the product is adulterated and that it presents a serious threat of adverse consequences or death. If the FDA has made the determination that that is the case, industry leaders are obligated to provide those. There will likely be a final meeting to close out the inspection. Both the Responsible Person and inspection escort should attend.
