Ultriva Improves Ultrasound Companys Inventory Accuracy

Cupertino, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/15/2014 -- A leading provider of hand-carried ultrasound equipment recently selected Ultriva supply chain execution solution. The ultrasound manufacturer designs its products for applications where ultrasound machines have not been traditionally used. The ultrasound manufacturer was challenged with receiving goods in two systems because the current system was not integrated with Oracle.

Nandu Gopalun, Project Manager for Ultriva shared, “The Ultriva solution was a good match for the ultrasound manufacturer because it addressed suppliers’ ability to reschedule while improving visibility. The company published forecast gross requirements to suppliers tightly integrated with Oracle. Releases did not match between the systems and the result was double receipts or no receipts. These inventory inaccuracies led to costs that will be significantly reduced with the Ultriva system.”

Gopalun is actively involved in Lean Factory Management and Collaborative Supplier Portal system design, development, and deployment. Gopalun has been with Ultriva since 2000 and has visited more than 100 plants around the world and implemented Ultriva software in more than 60 plants.
