SpartaMatrix Announces Signing of $6.5 Million Contract

 

Brisbane, Queensland -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/06/2005 -- SpartaMatrix announced the signing of a $6.5 million (USD) contract with Peerapat Industrial Chemical Company Ltd of Thailand. The contract will run through the end of 2011, with further options to be negotiated.

The contract calls for the use SpartaMatrix’s security and logistics support. SpartaMatrix will provide consultation and implementation of security systems for the production and distribution of approximately 20 metric tons of sugar per year.

Systems to be installed by SpartaMatrix will include a comprehensive Management Information System (MIS), product tracing and tracking, and the use of RFID warehouse and inventory controls. The SpartaMatrix hardware and software will allow Peerapat Industrial to use e invoicing, “best price” global shipping and “just in time” delivery services.

“This system will cut down on theft and spoilage of product. It will allow Peerapat Industrial to supply its sugar when it is at its peak in quality. Our (SpartaMatrix) systems will also save the company money by assuring the best in pricing and timing for the shipment of the sugar to the market place,” stated SpartaMatrix Chairman Phillip Wainwright. “We believe this is agreement will lead to many other agreements with other companies that deal with food commodities that need tight security, want to control the theft of the product and want to save money on the distribution of their products,” said Wainwright.

SpartaMatrix’s system will track approximately 12,000 shipments over the next three years. The data for each shipment will be stored for current and future use by Peerapat Industrial Chemical company both onsite and offsite.
