Nashville, TN -- (ReleaseWire) -- 05/09/2006 --Malcolm Williams, charismatic singer, songwriter and front man of the energetic gospel recording choir, Malcolm Williams and Great Faith has signed an exclusive agreement with World Vision, the international Christian relief and development organization to become a spokesperson in an effort to raise awareness within the gospel community about child poverty and related human conditions in Africa.

World Vision, the fifth most recognizable charitable organization in the world helps transform the lives of the world’s poorest children and families in nearly 100 countries. Malcolm Williams joins a World Vision roster of noted Christian recording artists that includes Third Day, CeCe Winans, MercyMe, Anthony Evans, Casting Crowns and many others who partner with the organization to expose hunger, disease and other impoverished conditions through their concert events.

"Malcolm Williams is a great talent who knows how to connect with his audience, and engage them in a powerful worship experience. We are excited to have him as a World Vision artist because he has real passion for those in need, as demonstrated by Great Faith's outreach activities in the city of Chicago and beyond,” says Dawn Williams, World Vision Artist Representative. His efforts to lend his voice of support to raise awareness in the gospel community further assist World Vision to help children impacted by the AIDS Pandemic in third world countries like Africa."

A recent recipient of a Master's degree in Child Development Education from National Louis University in Chicago, Williams feels honored to work with the humanitarian organization. “The opportunity to partner with World Vision lines up with my music ministry and my personal responsibility,” offered Williams. I did not know the staggering statistics that plague the children of Africa. I see the need and opportunity to use the platform I have to inform those that I come in contact with to help make a difference in the life of a African child through child sponsorship.”

Affectionally known as the “Church Boy Of Gospel,” Malcolm Williams and his Great Faith choir released their new album, Walking In My Destiny this past February to favorable media reviews, and consistent and growing radio airplay of the hit songs “Due Season” and “A Chance.” In April, Williams and his Chicago-based award-winning group began raising awareness of poverty conditions of children from Malawi, Haiti, Tanzania, and the Dominican Republic as part of Walking In My Destiny touring dates and personal appearances. With recent stops in Palm Springs, Nashville and Dallas, the Walking In My Destiny Tour will visit, Fort Lauderdale, Cincinnati, Detroit, St. Louis, Chicago, San Diego, Houston, Oklahoma City and Canada through this summer.
