Studica Skills Announces Winners for First Cycle of Student Competitions

 

Sanborn, NY -- (ReleaseWire) -- 05/30/2006 --Today StudicaSkills.com, the free online center for students and schools to compete for cash and prizes, announced the winners of the first cycle of competitions. Based on vote counts from the real-time online voting system, the top finalists were determined and evaluated by a team of Studica Skills judges.

Prizes being awarded at this time include approximately $10,000 in cash as well as multiple copies of various software products, a Sony Portable Playstation, and an iPod Nano.

The first round of the Studica Skills Expose Yourself Competitions had over 1,000 students signing up to have their work, talent, and skills exposed. Over fifty schools participated in the Competitions and over 150,000 votes have been logged for the Competitions. The real-time voting ended on April 28th for these eleven competitions and a team of judges, composed of teachers, manufacturers, sponsors, people working in the field, and qualified Studica Skills representatives, examined the top entries of all closed competitions and chose three winners from each competition.

Studica Skills is a free online opportunity available exclusively to students, providing the chance to expose their work to the world while earning cash and prizes.
With the growing interest in Studica Skills by Corporate Sponsors and Manufacturers, the Studica Skills Team is able to provide new and exciting prizes to all of our 70+ current competitions! Students entering in a Studica Skills Competition are eligible for not only a chance at being a finalist, but in many cases a competition will award a random entrant once every month. Teachers who sign up a minimum of five students to enter a competition, may qualify for free software/licensing in some instances.
