Canceled Airline Flights Strand 14,000 Passengers Across the US on Christmas Eve

Los Angeles, CA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 12/30/2014 --If anyone was planning to fly this holiday or were expecting visitors who were flying to visit, they should have been prepared for late arrivals or no-shows.

As of 10:30 PM Eastern Time on December 24th, 2014, 383 airline flights were canceled in the United States. Most of these flights were from the American Airlines group, which canceled 289 airline flights. This represents 75% of the flight cancellations in the US. Over 14,000 passengers will not get to grandma's house for Christmas.

COMMERCIAL PILOT/AUTHOR BEN MANDELL is available for sound bites and interviews to discuss this holiday's airline situation.
