New Market Study, "Gum in Uruguay", Has Been Published
Despite the launching of new products from Trondial and Lidergood during 2011 and 2012, volume sales of bubble gum continue declining in 2013. Companies have tried to reverse the trend by keeping prices unchanged or with very small increases in current terms but so far have had no success, as young consumers are switching to other types of confectionery or dropping this type of gum altogether.
