In 2013 retailing is set record stronger current value sales growth than the review period CAGR. Consumer habits are still evolving in Kazakhstan and consumers are gradually increasing their consumption. Moreover, the regions and rural areas have started to pick up in terms of retailing, making operations in these areas more viable for larger scale players. The moderation of growth that was observed after the economic crisis in 2008/2009 started to be overtaken by improving consumer confidence.
