Sports and Energy Drinks in Finland - New Market Study Published
Sports and energy drinks total volume sales declined by 1% to 14 million litres in 2013. The situation in the country was not favourable for growth, as the economic downturn and elevated unemployment rates forced consumers to limit their spending - developments that took their toll on sports and energy drinks. The category's performance illustrates the fact that these products are to some extent viewed as an unnecessary indulgence, whose purchase can be cut in times of economic difficulty.
