New Market Study, "Weight Management in Australia", Has Been Published
The overall growth rate of 4% for weight management in 2013 was lower than the 6% growth experienced during 2012, although still stronger on average than the five year period preceding 2012. This growth continues to be primarily driven by meal replacements products as leading grocery stores continue their strong push into this area. This was initially sparked by the shift in distribution channels by Celebrity Slim; however, private label has also begun to enjoy some success.
