New Market Research Report: Fruits in Spain
Fruit consumption in Spain remains highly dependent on harvests, seasonality and subsequent retail selling prices. While generally favourable weather conditions in 2012 benefited the majority of fruits categories, which supported increased production and, consequently, falling unit prices, 2013 saw a significant increase in retail selling prices across most fruit categories. As a result, following a 3% increase in 2012, total volume sales declined by 1% during 2013.
