Chromium is a lustrous steel-colored brittle but hard chemical. It exhibits high gloss, high melting point, excellent resistance to corrosion and is highly resistant to tarnishing. Chromium can combine with other metals to form a number of metal compounds. For instance, ferrochromium and chromium metal are produced by the aluminothermic or silicothermic reactions. Chromium is used in a wide range of applications including metallurgy, dye and pigment, wood preservation, tanning, refractory material, catalysts and magnets among others. Majority of chromium is converted into ferrochromium alloys, due to its high demand in stainless steel and alloy industries.

Antimony trioxide is the one of the major compounds of antimony. Antimony oxide is mainly produced by two ways either by oxidation of antimony or by the process of re-volatilizing of crude antimony trioxide. The method of production is mainly dependent on the composition of ores. Antimony trioxide has the ability to react both as acid as well as base making it suitable in various end user applications. Antimony trioxide reacts with mineral acids to give the corresponding salts. The major applications of antimony trioxide include flame retardants, polymerization catalyst in manufacturing of PET, as an additive in brake linings of automobiles and to certain extent as a coating for certain grades in titanium dioxide pigments. The flame retardant application of antimony trioxide is expected to dominate the market for antimony trioxide. Countries such as China, Russia, South Africa and Kyrgyzstan are the major producers for antimony trioxide. The major consumers for antimony trioxide are developed regions especially Europe and the U.S. With growth in flame retardant market across the globe the market for antimony trioxide also expects a positive trend in next few years.

An independent third party referee, John Hayes founder and CEO of No Risk Automation, can help manufacturers in the automation process by eliminating the feeling of being pushed. Hayes explained, "It allows for the group to become a team and work together more collaboratively. In many cases the department that generated the process has little concept of the steps to take to get from concept to implementing the automation project. The ability to remove pressure from department budgets by having company senior management involved is very important. In many cases, changes are insignificant when lined up against company long-term goals."
