A survey of likely voters in the key swing states of Nevada, North Carolina, Florida and Iowa reveals that the 2012 race for president between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney is tighter than ever, with a shrinking percentage of likely voters remaining undecided and therefore open to persuasion from either campaign.

On October 24, 2012, the non-partisan research firm Gravis Marketing conducted a telephone poll of 1,182 adults who are eligible to vote in the November 2012 Presidential Election. The following results are taken from individuals who declared that they are either somewhat likely, likely or very likely to vote on Election Day. All of them are registered to vote in the state of Florida, and more than 90 percent said that they are very likely to vote. Full Poll results

President Obama and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney are tied amongst likely voters in the battleground state of Ohio, according to a recent poll conducted by non-partisan research firm Gravis Marketing. The poll shows Obama and Romney splitting participating voters 47 percent to 47 percent, while 6 percent of polled Ohio voters remained undecided in the presidential race.

Stand Up Missouri remains committed to educating the public about the dangers of the so-called “Payday Loan Initiative” after the Missouri Supreme Court helped clear the way for the initiative to appear on the November ballot. The high court overturned a circuit court ruling that had struck down the ballot initiative petition as misleading to signers. The decision does not mean that the “Payday Loan Initiative” will appear on the November ballot. The initiative petition remains under review to determine whether it has enough valid signatures.

The North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources will again showcase the Tar Heel State’s culture, heritage and arts with the third year of its popular 2nd Saturdays summer programs.
